Gutter, fascia and soffit sealing: call for a quick quote

What gutter, fascia & soffit sealing involves

Many dripping gutters are just a failed joint or end cap. We clean out the joint, dry it and reseal it with a sealant made for guttering and outdoor use. We also seal open fascia and soffit joints, roofline trims and garage door frames. If a gutter is sagging, cracked or falling, or the roof is the problem, a roofer or gutter installer needs to look at it, and we’ll tell you.

We work across the South East, London and all of Scotland from our base in Crawley. Every job comes with our one-year guarantee, and we’re fully insured and an ARBOMaster approved applicator.

Problems we put right

  • Drips from gutter joints and end caps
  • Water running down the wall below the gutter
  • Gaps along fascia and soffit joints
  • Garage door frames letting rain in
  • Old sealant on roofline trims that has split

How it works

  1. We look at where the water is coming from and check the gutter isn’t broken or sagging.
  2. The joint or trim is cleaned out and old sealant removed.
  3. The area is dried so the sealant can bond.
  4. An exterior or gutter sealant is applied to the joint.
  5. We check the run and clear any debris we find while we’re there.

What we don’t do

We don’t replace gutters, fascias or roof coverings. Sealant fixes joints; it won’t fix a broken bracket, a cracked section or a blocked downpipe.

Access

Single-storey and low-level gutters are straightforward. For higher work, tell us about access and we’ll confirm what’s needed.

Why it’s worth doing now

A dripping gutter joint soaks the wall below every time it rains. Over time that leads to stained brickwork, damp patches inside and, in winter, ice on paths. Resealing a joint is a small job compared with dealing with damp walls.

What affects the quote

We don’t publish set prices, because every job is different. Call or email us with a few details and we’ll give you a clear quote before we start. The main things that affect it are:

  • How many joints, rooms, windows or metres of joint there are
  • How much old sealant or grout has to come out, and how many layers
  • Mould, damage or movement that needs dealing with first
  • Access: stairs, height, ladders or work outside
  • The product the joint needs (sanitary, exterior, fire-rated, glazing or sand mastic)
  • For commercial sites, working hours and phasing

What a good quote includes

  • All the old sealant removed, not sealed over
  • The product named for each joint
  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How long before the area can be used
  • How your home or building will be protected
  • Who is doing the work, and that they’re insured

Aftercare

Keep gutters clear of leaves and moss, especially in autumn, and check the joints after heavy rain. If a section starts to sag or a bracket fails, get it fixed before the joints are strained.

Gutter, fascia and soffit sealing: common questions

Can a leaking gutter joint be sealed?

Often, yes. A clean, dry joint resealed with gutter sealant usually stops the drip. A split or warped section needs replacing.

Do you clean gutters?

We clear debris around the joints we’re sealing. Full gutter cleaning is a separate job.

Can you seal fascia and soffit joints?

Yes. Open joints along uPVC fascias and soffits can be sealed in a matching colour.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Every job comes with our one-year guarantee.

Do you give a price before you start?

Yes. Call or email us with a few details and we’ll give you a clear quote, so you know the price before any work starts.

Are you insured?

Yes. Mr Mastic is fully insured, and we’re an ARBOMaster approved applicator.
