Bathroom & kitchen resealing in Stoke, Hampshire
We cover Stoke for bath, shower, basin, wet room, worktop and sink resealing. Old material cut out, joints cleaned and sealed neatly and a 12-month guarantee.
- Leaking joints on a shower screen
- Shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop
- Sealant that has split, shrunk or peeled away
Aftercare tips
So the new joints stay in good condition:
- Wipe the sealant dry after showering
- Do not let bottles sit on the bead
- Clean with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth
- Let new sealant cure fully before it gets wet
Have a look at the joints every few months. A small split or a corner lifting is easy to spot, and if anything looks wrong, just phone 0345 464 0079 or email us.
Small signs come before a leak: a corner lifting, a gap behind the bead, a dark line under the silicone or a damp patch on the ceiling below. If you spot one, it’s time to reseal.
Bathroom resealing in Stoke, done properly
It isn’t only bathrooms. The joint between worktop and wall, the edge of the sink and the bottom of the splashback get wet every single day, and water behind a laminate worktop can make it swell. We reseal them with a kitchen-suitable silicone, matched to the worktop where it’s on show. We work on kitchen worktops & upstands, basins & vanity units and baths, and people most often call us about shrunken sealant along the back of a worktop and black spots spreading through the bead.
Around Stoke, it’s houses and cottages rather than flats, some with bathrooms tucked into older rooms or extensions. The work is the same as anywhere: old material cut out, joints cleaned and a fresh finish laid.
You’re covered for a year from the day we finish. If there’s a problem with it, please call 0345 464 0079 or email us.

What affects the cost of bathroom resealing
For a quick quote, just ask. The main things that affect it are:
- The number of rooms or windows
- When we can work, for business premises
- Whether old sealant or filler has to be cut out
- Whether the work is at height
Commercial jobs are quoted on the same basis as homes: the amount of work, the access and the products needed, plus any working-time requirements on site. Call for a quick quote and we’ll explain what it covers.
What to tell us for a quote
You do not need to know the technical terms. It helps if you can tell us:
- The problem you’ve noticed
- Photos by email, if that is easy
- Any previous sealing or DIY work
- The rough size of the job
Need a quote? Please call 0345 464 0079 or email us and tell us about the job. You will know what we plan to do, and what it will cost, before any work begins.
The process
Before we leave, we go over the finished joints with you and explain the cure time. The visit itself normally takes a morning or an afternoon for most single baths and showers, depending on the amount of work. Somewhere like Stoke needs a little journey planning: let us know about lanes, gates and parking. We bring what the job needs, so it can be finished in one trip where possible.
- We protect the area and cut out all of the old sealant.
- We clean and degrease the joint and treat any mould.
- Once it’s dry, any bath is filled so the bead is laid with it at its heaviest.
- New anti-fungal silicone goes on in a colour to suit and is tooled to a clean finish.
- We tidy up and give you the cure time, usually around 24 hours.
How to prepare
- Let us know about parking restrictions
- Where the joints are inside, avoid wetting them before we arrive
- Mention if the joints have been sealed before
How to get a quote
We do not publish a price list. Instead, your job gets its own clear quote. To get started, phone 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email.
Advice
What bathroom resealing looks like in Stoke
Stoke is within about 1 mile of the coast. Coastal homes, holiday lets and guest houses can see heavy bathroom use in busy months, which wears sealant and grout out faster than in a quiet home. Most of the South East has hard water, so limescale builds up on sealant, grout and fittings.
Letting a property close to Warblington station? Then mouldy sealant is one of the first things a new tenant notices, so it’s worth renewing between lets. If you look after a building such as The Hayling College, we reseal washrooms and kitchens in schools and businesses as well as homes. If you live in an older home near Church of St Peter, walls and floors in older homes can move, and sealant and grout show it first.
Stoke is about 3 miles south of Havant, in Hampshire. If you need bathroom resealing in Stoke, please ring 0345 464 0079 or email us for a quick quote. We cover Hampshire from our Crawley base. Our area takes in 683 places across Hampshire, large and small.

You’ll find Stoke on the A3023, which makes it straightforward to reach with everything needed for bathroom resealing. We also cover North Hayling (1 mile east), Tye (1 mile east), Northney (1 mile north-east), Langstone (1 mile north) and Warblington (1 mile north). Within a short drive, we also cover Gosport (8 miles west), Havant (3 miles north), Fareham (10 miles west), Horndean (6 miles north), Waterlooville (5 miles north-west) and Petersfield (13 miles north).
Local landmarks in Stoke
Typical jobs here are in homes near The Maypole pub, among other places. The closest station to Stoke is Warblington station, roughly 2.4 miles north. Well-known places in the area include Warblington Castle (1.8 miles north) and Havant Museum (2.1 miles north). Not far away are Hayling Billy.
Why deal with it now?
You do not need a new bathroom because the sealant looks bad. Replacing the joint is usually all it takes. If something else is wrong, we will tell you. Around Stoke, older homes often have timber in their floors and frames, where water from a failed joint can cause rot if it’s left.
Instead of a standard rate, we look at what your job involves: the amount of work, the old material and the access. The price is agreed before we begin.

Should I try it myself first?
The biggest DIY mistake is sealing over old sealant. Silicone does not stick to old silicone, so it lifts and traps water and mould underneath. All the old material has to come out first.
Too much sealant is as bad as too little. A thick, smeared bead looks untidy and does not move well, and the joint depth matters as much as the finish.
Different surfaces, different methods
Basins & vanity units
Vanity units have long, worktop-style joints against the wall. If water gets in, the cabinet underneath can swell, so a neat, continuous bead matters.
Baths
A bath shifts slightly every time it’s filled, so we fill it with water before sealing. The joint is then laid with the bath at its lowest point.
What else we do in Stoke
What sealant work can’t fix
A few problems are outside what sealant work can do:
- Water getting in through the grout rather than the sealant
- Water coming from the plumbing rather than the joint
- Tiles that have come away from the wall
Not sure which it is? You can call 0345 464 0079 or send us an email and we will tell you honestly.

Stoke: your questions answered
Do you cover smaller places like Stoke?
Yes, we do. Our work covers London and the South East, and smaller places are part of that. The journey is planned ahead, so it helps to know about access.
Do you work for landlords with property near Warblington station?
Yes, rental work is part of what we do. You can ring 0345 464 0079 or drop us an email with the address and a few details, and we’ll give you a fixed price before work begins.
What sealant do you use?
We choose the sealant for the joint, not the other way round. Movement, water and weather all affect the choice, and we will tell you what we are using.
Do you hold any approvals?
Yes. We hold ARBOMaster approved applicator status, and we are fully insured.
Are you insured?
Yes. Mr Mastic is fully insured.
Do you do kitchens as well as bathrooms?
Yes. Next to the sink we use a food-safe product where it’s needed.
Can I choose the colour of the sealant?
You are not limited to white: clear, white and colours chosen to suit the room. We will talk it through when we quote.
Can you just seal over the old silicone?
No, and it’s one of the main reasons reseals fail. We cut out all of the old sealant, clean the joint and start again.
